When Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District — long known as one of the country’s most closely-contested battleground districts — became an open seat, Democrats immediately labeled the race as a top pick-up opportunity. But after a hard-fought campaign, Republican Marine veteran Mike Gallagher was handily elected to Congress. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said that “Gallagher ran a strong campaign” in “a race that will ripple throughout Wisconsin politics for years,” while Kyle Kondik of Larry J. Sabato’s Crystal Ball hailed the victory as “very, very impressive.” Mike prevailed by over 25 points in the general election – the largest margin of victory for any Republican in a targeted race that year. Months earlier, he won 75% of the GOP primary vote —becoming the first political newcomer since 2004 to garner at least three-quarters of the vote in a Republican primary before being elected to Congress. We were proud to be part of his winning team. One of our ads for the Gallagher campaign ad — “Running” — later won the WisPolitics.com award for Best Republican TV Ad of 2016.
